Woman reveals on Reddit that husband cheated with stepson’s teacher and now both are pregnant
Taking to Reddit with her story, 35-year-old mum Hayley said she had been married to her husband for eight years.
Both have children from previous marriages – a 14-year-old son for Hayley and an 11-year-old daughter for her husband.
Describing the early years of their marriage as a “fairytale,” Hayley stated her companion handled her “like a queen”, even when she feeling depressed.
“About two years ago, I had mental problems, depressions,” she wrote.
“I treated him like crap. I always blamed him. It led to resentment from my side. I started feeling like he was damaging me.
“This went on for months. He still treated me like a queen but at that time I felt like he was just not good enough for me.”
About six months after the onset of her despair, Hayley’s ex-partner invited her and their youngster collectively to go on a visit to Europe.
Confession to husband
“At that time, I was not in the right state of mind, so I ended up cheating on him with my ex,” Hayley wrote.
“I came back and confessed to my husband about the cheating.
“To my surprise, he still wanted to give me another chance but I was not sure about us.
“So I ended up going to my ex’s house.
“Two days later, I realised that I made mistake by leaving my husband.
“I realised how much he cared for me and how he always prioritised me above anything. He took me back.”
After this turbulent period, Haley says she and her husband became happy again and started talking about having more children.
“Two weeks ago I found out I was pregnant. We were very happy to celebrate,” Haley wrote.
A week ago, my kid said that his teacher told him that he would have more siblings to play with. I noticed it was strange.
I wondered, “Why does she know my pregnancy?”
Suspicions confirmed
Feeling increasingly suspicious, Hayley went through her husband’s phone – and her suspicions were confirmed.
“I found messages to my child’s teacher. Full-on flirting, sexting, exchanging nudes,” she wrote.
“Messaging was going on for six months.
“Then I found a message along with a picture linked.
“Picture was of pregnancy test and the text read ‘you are going to be the greatest father to our child.’
“My heart sank. I literally threw up in the bed.”
The photo is a pregnancy test and the text says, “You will be the best father for our child.”
“My heart sank. I literally lay down on the bed.”
After Haley learned of his affair while traveling in Europe, he said he wanted to face her husband and “lean on his shoulders.”
“He said he didn’t intend to get her pregnant,” Haley wrote.
“She said she was suffering from infertility. She was a miracle child and wanted to keep it.
“They got things done a month ago.
“They continued sexting, but when I found out I was pregnant, they eventually didn’t get in touch.
“He says my pregnancy was a wake-up call to him.”
Desperate advice
Haley now said, “I’m sitting on the couch for advice on what to do.”
“My teacher is 5 months pregnant and I am 2 weeks pregnant,” she wrote.
“Most of you will say that I destroyed my marriage, and I know it, but now I want to save it at all costs.
“I’m thinking about what my child will experience at school once my friends know.”
Reddit users were shocked by the “chaos” of Haley’s situation and split.
“All the adults in this post are toxic af,” wrote one unsympathetic Reddit user.
“I’m sorry for all those four kids. What’s the show?”
Others have taken a more cautious approach.
“In this situation, all adults made mistakes, but the teacher was the most important,” wrote one.
“Why did she think it was okay to deal with the parents of a married student? So, do you tell the student for absolutely no reason?
“It’s very inappropriate.
“You at least had a ball to tell your husband that you had an affair, but he didn’t have a ball to tell you that you had an affair and made another girl pregnant. “
“The only advice I can give is that children’s health should be a top priority from now on,” one suggested.
“What really impresses me is how you can do it to your family and your kids when you are so resentful and you first get out of marriage and actually break up with him. I asked my husband if he could do it.
