So you just slept with a man for the first time. Or maybe you’ve slept with him a few times now, but you still don’t know him enough to really understand what’s going on in his head.
What is he thinking, while he’s ⓝⓐⓚⓔⓓ beside you, panting and catching his breath? What’s on his mind and what’s he not saying?
In this article, we discuss the 11 most common things a man might be thinking in that short period right after “sleeping” with a woman.
Here’s everything that could be running through his mind.
1. He is in a Happy State
Cute. Really, the ⓢⓔⓧ makes them happy. Most of the time, men don’t read much about what happened. They are simply ecstatic and pleased with the roll in the hay. Some even get a confidence boost out of it.
If you are in a serious relationship with this person, he may then overflow with love and delight. One can only imagine the connection that ⓛⓞⓥⓔⓜⓐⓚⓘⓝⓖ brings to a guy, and it is more than just the physical attraction.
2. Being relaxed and tired at the same time, what he wanted to do next was to just sleep
Some of us may want to ᴄᴜᴅᴅʟᴇ and talk more after ⓢⓔⓧ, but some men may not feel the same.
Don’t take it personally. As mentioned previously, oxytocin facilitates the relaxation of the body. Having this would make a man want to catch some Z’s.
Without a doubt, the next thing they would think of after a fantastic night is to rest.
3. He is thinking about Relaxation and Contentment
This pretty much seems common among men. After a wild night (or day), their body relaxes, and their contentment? It reaches its ᴄʟɪᴍᴀx.
This is because of the hormone called oxytocin, which is released after having an ᴏʀɢᴀsᴍ. It is a hormone that lowers stress levels, which, in turn, aids in relaxation.
That being said, he may think about the relaxation and the feel-good that has resulted from having ⓘⓝⓣⓔⓡⓒⓞⓤⓡⓢⓔ with you.
4. He feels Awkward
Have you considered that the guy is probably feeling awkward as well?
If that’s the case, you may be right.
A friend of mine shared that he felt uneasy and awkward after sleeping with a girl he knows from university.
For instance, he asked himself, “What should I do next? What if we happen to run into each other? Is it better for me to go now or stay?”
Yes, you read that correctly. They worry about such things too.
Your bedmate may be debating whether he should leave or stay, but thinks it would be too inappropriate to spoil the moment.
Or….
He could be worrying that you don’t want him to linger too long or that it is best to stay a bit longer.
5. He is thinking about how to do better next time
They, too, can be conscious, you know. Men do not always think that they are the best, or that what they did to you was immaculate. Some might even experience performance jitters.
Actually, when I asked several guys about it, they admitted that they had thoughts about how they could have done better. One even joked about how he could have choked her partner even harder.
Perhaps he is thinking about doing better so that both of you can enjoy the best ⓢⓔⓧ of your lives. It could also be about the positions you can try out with each other.
6. He thinks about being emotionally closer to you
Although there are guys who don’t think deeply about what happened, there are some who do.
In such cases, a man might not think of inviting you again to “Netflix and chill” after the deed; rather, they may be thinking of dining with you, not you.
If he is reaching out, it could mean that he desires to be closer to you or wants to know you more.
With that being said, he is most likely planning where he will bring you other than his bed.
7. He might be figuring out whether you were satisfied or not
Most men want to impress a woman, especially in bed.
Having said that, he might be wondering if you enjoyed it as well. We all know that men reach ᴏʀɢᴀsᴍ quicker than women, and most of the time they finish first before we do.
This may prompt him to wonder if he performed well, especially if he is the type who wants ⓢⓔⓧ to be both pleasurable and satisfactory to both parties.
Knowing that you are satisfied will increase his confidence in his bed abilities and performance.
To be honest, I think a woman would be lucky if her man had such thoughts because not everyone *ahem* considers the full satisfaction that ⓢⓔⓧ could offer to women.
8. He is deciding whether or not to share it with his bros
We all know guys tend to keep count of their ⓢⓔⓧⓤⓐⓛ partners and go brag about it to their friends.
This could be the case for your ⓢⓔⓧ partner, especially if your encounter is limited to a one-night affair, booty calls, or the like.
I am not implying that all men think of this. Some men believe that real men respect women regardless of their relationship with them.
The point is, if they aren’t serious about you, they are more likely thinking about telling their buddies about his steamy night (or day) with you.
9. He thinks it’s Fine
I lost count of the number of guys who said, “it’s fine,” when I asked them about their thoughts after sleeping with a woman.
It appears to be so straightforward, doesn’t it? They simply answered that there isn’t much deliberation going on in their heads following the ⓢⓔⓧⓤⓐⓛ experience. Really, their responses rotate to just these two words: okay and fine.
Sometimes, the moment for them is just what it was: totally amazing. Nothing more, nothing less.
Even so, some men said that if they are in a serious relationship, it is okay. But if not, they feel guilty doing it with someone with whom they have no emotional attachment. Sounds like guys you need not worry about, isn’t it?
10. He sees himself not doing it again with you
Okay, I know this is kinda harsh. But, in reality, this happens.
Some men may refuse to do it with you again after the deed. He could be the type who dislikes having ⓢⓔⓧⓤⓐⓛ activity with the same woman (I know, right? They exist), or maybe he is just not into you.
If you’ve noticed him distancing from you, it could be because he no longer wants to bed you.
He might also be implying to you explicitly that the ⓢⓔⓧ was not a big deal as he doesn’t want it to get in over your head. He just doesn’t want to be put under pressure, especially if he is not interested in commitments.
11. He gets Shy
This is especially true for a guy who has no emotional attachment to the woman. “If we don’t have a label and we did it, I get shy,” one person I know confessed. He continued, “Unless she initiates contact again, I’ll feel more at ease.”
If this is the case for you, perhaps all he is thinking is getting a little boost from you. The guy you slept with is only waiting for you to take the initiative.
As much as there are self-assured men out there, there is also their polar opposite.
If you believe the attributes of the man I’m describing are similar to those of your bedmate, I’m guessing you know the drill.
