A husband and wife were having a heated debate one evening over who had the more loyal and reliable circle of friends. To settle the argument once and for all, the wife suggested a simple test: they would switch phones, call each other’s friends, pretend their spouse hadn’t come home yet, and see who received the best assistance.
They retreated to separate rooms and spent thirty minutes making their calls. When they met back up in the living room, the husband looked completely defeated.
“Well, honey, it’s a landslide victory for you,” the husband sighed. “Your friends are incredible. Every single one of them listed your favorite restaurants, boutiques, and salons—complete with phone numbers. They knew your exact work hours, your office extension, and even the specific route you take home. They truly know and care about you.”
The wife shook her head, staring at him with a deadpan expression. “No, dear. Your friends are definitely the superior ones.”
“Why on earth do you say that?” the husband asked, completely baffled.
The wife crossed her arms and replied:
“Because nearly all of them swore you spent the entire evening hanging out at their house… and three of them insisted you are still there asleep on their couch.”
