Hate cough syrup? Try this natural remedy of banana and honey to ease your cough

Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoon of raw honey
- 400ml of water
Note: It’s better to use organic bananas and raw organic honey when making the syrup, but normal ones will do just fine too.
Steps:
- Pour the water in a pot and bring to a boil. Remove from the stove.
- Take 2 bananas, peel them and blend in a blender or mash with a fork.
- Once they’re ready, add them to the water and stir until homogeneous.
- Leave it as is until the mixture cools.
- Add 2 tbsp honey and stir again.
This 3-ingredient mixture helps treat coughs; take 1 tbsp of it 2-3 times a day before meals.
If you’re allergic to honey, don’t use it.
According to nutritionists, banana is an excellent sleep remedy as it helps to elevate serotonin level—helping you get better sleep at night. However, keep in mind that this only applies to fully ripe bananas.

Raw honey is versatile in its healing properties, particularly in respiratory complaints. It possesses antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties that may help reduce the intensity and duration of a cough. For better results, make a tea with two tablespoons of honey and two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice with adequate water. Lemon will act as an antioxidant and help to boost your energy. Always use raw and unpasteurized honey, avoid the one that contains added sugar.
