In this modern world, kindness is certainly alive and well, and, a lot of times, that true kindness comes from teenagers. 18-year-old Cesar Larios is the typical example.
Cesar, a student at the Art Institute of Florida, is known as a “hunk” in his city of Tampa, Florida. Maybe he earns that moniker by working for a group called “College Hunks Hauling Junk,” which basically means… moving men.
But Cesar is more than just a hunk of a guy. He also appears to have an kind and personal understanding of others, and wants to help out whenever necessary.
One day, when Cesar got into an elevator, he met an elderly woman who was pushing a wheeled walker. Suddenly, their elevator got stuck between floors. This incident was not only a temporary setback for its occupants but also an extreme strain on the elderly woman, who mentioned that she had a lot of trouble standing still.
That was when Cesar did something that many might not even THINK about doing. The kind and understanding teen wanted to take the burden away from that elderly woman who found herself struggling to stand in that tiny space.
So Cesar got down on all fours behind the woman and told her to go ahead and sit on his back, becoming a human chair for her.
“I think what’s great about it is that it’s a genuine moment caught on camera. A lot of people say the younger generation has lost certain values. But one small picture shows that chivalry and hard work are still very much alive in our youth.”, says Nick Friedman, the co-founder and president of Cesar’s moving company.
And surely, there are plenty more Cesar’ out there.
