A man bought a parrot at an auction and proudly brought his new pet home.
Unfortunately, the bird turned out to have a very colorful vocabulary.
The moment they walked through the door, the parrot started yelling insults, swearing, and squawking at the top of its lungs.
The man tried everything.
“Please be quiet.”
The parrot got louder.
“Stop swearing!”
The parrot responded with an even more creative insult.
After nearly an hour of nonstop noise, the man finally lost his patience.
He grabbed the parrot and put it in the freezer for a few seconds to teach it a lesson.
At first, the parrot continued squawking angrily.
Then…
Silence.
Complete silence.
The man suddenly felt terrible.
“Oh no… I hope I didn’t go too far.”
He quickly opened the freezer door.
The parrot calmly stepped out, climbed onto his arm, bowed its head, and spoke in the sweetest voice imaginable:
“I sincerely apologize for my rude behavior. I promise to be polite, respectful, and quiet from now on.”
The man was stunned.
“Wow! Thank you! I really appreciate that.”
The parrot nodded politely.
Then it glanced nervously toward the freezer, shivered, and whispered:
“If you don’t mind me asking…”
“What did the chicken do?”
