They always say an elephant never forgets, but nobody ever warns you about just how violently petty they can be.
An elephant and a crocodile were enjoying a peaceful afternoon swim in a jungle river when the elephant suddenly froze. His eyes locked onto a tiny turtle minding its own business, sunning itself on a flat rock near the bank.
With pure rage in his eyes, the elephant marched out of the water, stomped over to the rock, wrapped his trunk tightly around the turtle, and yeeted him like a frisbee far into the jungle canopy.
The crocodile swam over, utterly bewildered. “What on earth did you do that for?”
“That specific turtle bit my foot almost fifty years ago,” the elephant grumbled.
The crocodile stared at him in absolute awe. “And you actually recognized him after half a century? Wow, you must have a flawless memory.”
The elephant nodded proudly and replied:
“Yep. Flawless turtle recall.”
