A young and pretty teacher was giving her class of six-year-olds a quiz.
Smiling, she said:
“Alright class, let’s play a guessing game! Behind my back, I’m holding something red, round, and you can eat it. What is it?”
Little Raymond raised his hand.
“An apple!”
“Good guess,” said the teacher, “but it’s a tomato! Still, it shows you’re thinking.”
She continued,
“Now I’ve got something round, greenish, and you can eat it. What is it?”
Little Ian shouted,
“An apple!”
The teacher chuckled.
“No, it’s an onion — but again, it shows you’re thinking!”
Then little Johnny, sitting in the back with a cheeky grin, called out:
“Miss, I’ve got something under my desk — it’s one inch long, white, and has a red tip.”
The teacher’s face turned bright red.
“Johnny! You naughty boy!”
Johnny shrugged and said calmly,
“No, miss… it’s a matchstick. But it shows you were thinking!” 😏
