Elon Musk has sharp response after Trump calls his own followers ‘stup!d Republicans’ for believing in Epstein’s ‘hoax’

Elon Musk has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding what some are calling the “Jeffrey Epstein hoax.”

Recently, the Trump administration reversed its earlier stance on possibly releasing files related to Epstein as part of an effort to increase transparency in high-profile historical cases.

Speculation had been growing around the existence of a so-called “client list,” but officials have now dismissed that claim.

According to a report from the Justice Department and the FBI, a thorough review found no incriminating client list.

The agencies also stated there was no evidence to suggest Epstein had blackmailed influential figures or that further investigations into unnamed individuals were warranted.

Despite these official findings, many remain suspicious. Some believe the documents aren’t being made public due to a possible cover-up.

That belief is widely held, not just by fringe theorists.

A recent poll by The Economist and YouGov, conducted between July 11 and 14, revealed that 67% of Americans suspect the government is withholding information about the Epstein case, as reported by The Independent.

Nevertheless, Trump has repeatedly denied that there is more to the story and has dismissed the entire controversy as a “hoax” orchestrated by Democrats.

Interestingly, it’s not just Democratic critics who are questioning the narrative—many of Trump’s own Republican supporters have also expressed doubts, which he has criticized, referring to them as “weaklings.”

On July 16, Trump was questioned by a reporter about the so-called hoax and asked to provide evidence supporting his claim.

He responded, “The hoax has been run by the Democrats for four years,” and criticized some Republicans for buying into what he described as a false narrative.

Elon Musk responded to a video clip of Trump’s remarks, posting: “Wow, amazing that Epstein ‘killed himself’ and Ghislaine is in federal prison for a hoax.”

In another tweet replying to someone who stated the situation clearly isn’t a hoax, Musk wrote: “It’s a cover-up (obviously).”

Criticism toward Trump has intensified, with some accusing him of manipulating public perception.

One user wrote: “This has to be one of the most egregious cases of gaslighting I’ve ever seen in my 36 years on this planet. Right now, Trump is no different than any other self-serving politician only concerned with power and protection.

I always suspected we’d never learn the full truth about the Epstein files, but Trump’s sudden reversal and his supporters covering for him is absolutely out of control.”

In response to this, Musk added: “Not a single Epstein client has been prosecuted. Not a single one.”
